1.  Yvette KABALA is 21 and lives with her older sister Wivine, Wivine's son Robert, and brother Delapaix and Moise who lived wild on the street when SBV met them. SBV rents them a house. Yvette is interested in nutrition and both sings and songwrites beautifully. She is sewing for her brothers' education this year.

2. Rogacien would like to study Engineerng or Development.

He has been sewing with the Mama Wimbi crew- very capably and diligently- in hope that helping others will be good karma.

3. Hortence Ushindi Nabintu is 18 years old  and lives  with her widowed mother, who struggles to take care of her six children. Hortense completed school well and  remains a member of our Esperanto group in Goma. She has the ambition to do computer engineering and seeks a sponsor for the realization of her dreams.

​

4. Chiza Murhabazi Serge is 22 years old, was raised by his aunt after losing his mother in early childhood. He is very capable and generous, teaching and doing painting and electrical work. He wants to become an architect for development. He needs someone who can support him to see his ambitions become a reality.

5. Heretier KYANYEMA has finished his first degree but needs a 2-year second degree to be employed in Public Health. He is 23. He and his twin, Jean-Paul, live with their Uncle's large family.

7. Florence has almost finished a very successful first year of studying medicine but has run out of money and is about to be expelled before her final exams.. She needs a sponsor quite urgently to stay in her course. Her father is very ill and her family is struggling.

Please note: Some of the students who have only recently graduated from school are older than you would expect. In the cases listed here, it is not for lack of ability or diligence, but money. If fees are not paid by the end of the year, students are barred from the examination that allows them to progress, and must repeat the year, regardless of their standard of achievement. For these youngsters, $10 or $20 is often completely unavailable.

8.Colette Kyende Musagi, a 20 year old, a member of a family of 15 and is living with her uncle in Goma. Colette graduated from school this year, and wants study further but there are no resources to do that. She wants to contribute to the development of the feminist world as Doctor of Medicine.
